Understanding Dwell Times:
Dwell time refers to the time the air spends in contact with the activated carbon, allowing maximum odor adsorption. Choosing the correct dwell time ensures effective filtration and extends the life of your filter. Here's how to calculate the dwell time:

A dwell time of 0.1 seconds can reduce contaminant concentrations by approximately 70%, 0.2 seconds by 80%, 0.3 seconds by 90%, and 0.5 seconds by 95%.

High-Smoke Cooking (e.g., Grilling, Frying): Cooking methods that produce significant smoke require effective pre-filtration to prevent particulate matter from reaching the carbon filter, as smoke can diminish the filter's performance. Implementing high-quality pre-filters, such as F8 Grade Bag Filters, is recommended.
